CHAllenge:
BC Housing is responsible for licensing more than 7,000 residential general contractors in British Columbia. All licensed residential contractors are required to take Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in order to renew their licence each year. General contractors need to understand the importance of logging CPD points and how that is easily achieved through the online portal.
Insight:
Contractor’s are a busy bunch, so BC Housing wanted an instructional video that presented the necessary information in an easy to digest manner, while respecting the audience’s time.
strategy:
Hole Hog Media presented a creative brief with a number of options. Working with BC Housing, we decided a brief motion graphics explainer video incorporating screen capture, voice over and kinetic typography elements would be a means to satisfy the educational objectives while keeping the audience engaged.
outcomes:
As of November 2018, the video was the most watched video on BC Housing’s YouTube channel.
